Can you imagine a robot to replace human intelligence? I can not. But the robot could very well make our lives more efficient. Technical field dealing with the robot, called Mechatronics, has made giant steps in recent decades and the robot extraordinary sophistication and technical intelligence is now being developed on a regular basis. This machine can perform everyday tasks, the rhetoric of intelligent and have amazing mobility - mimic humans in almost every respect.
Here are 10 innovative robots that may be a forerunner in the future robots extraordinary from society and culture.
1. ASIMO
ASIMO, short for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility, is a humanoid robot created by Honda. Standing at 130 cm and weight 54 kg. Developed in 2005, ASIMO has been continuously optimized and enhanced. Today could be walking, climbing stairs, running and also push objects such as a grocery cart. It can recognize moving objects and faces, differentiate voice and act in accordance with the environment.
2. Snake Robots
A creation of Dr. Gavin Miller, Snake Robot or Snakebot, as the name suggests, is designed like a snake. The Snakebot can move in the desert, swim, fly from one tree to another and can play an important role in search and rescue operations. Because the shape and size, this robot can reach areas otherwise inaccessible to humans. They also have been imagined to land in a foreign environment such as Mars.
3. Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAVs)
MAVs small flying robot with sensors for air monitoring. Bot is available in three different models - wing flapping, and fixed and rotary wing being built by various institutions ranging from universities to the defense department. Because of their unique structure and compact, this robot is expected to revolutionize the surveillance and stealth operation.
4. ChemBot
ChemBot, as described by the creator of the DARPA and U.S. Army Research Office, is designed to develop soft, flexible, mobile robot that can identify and maneuver through openings smaller than the actual structural dimensions to perform Department of Defense (DoD) tasks within complex and highly cluttered environment. It is powered chemical, shape shifting robots without wheels or any elements other rigid. Our Vision is to enable the robot must pass through very small holes. ChemBot is the brainchild of iRobot, a public company listed on NASDAQ.
5. Flossie
Designed specifically to test the bike at the Castrol oil, this robot is smart machines that test the bike for long hours in inhuman conditions of extreme heat and deafening sound. Flossie continuously learn from feeling the clutch, throttle response and shift patterns, so the main vehicle engine testing.
6. EATR
Vigorously Tactical Autonomous Robot (EATRs) is warmachines means. They have a varied diet and can eat as well as conventional biomass fuels such as gasoline, diesel, coal, etc. These robots can also act as a transport vehicle, capable of carrying people or objects such as weapons, fuel transportation and travel to areas otherwise accessible to humans. EATRs still under construction in Robotic Technology Inc.
7. Rex
Also described as the "Beast of Burden Robotic", Rex is a robot strong enough to carry loads up to 400 lbs. Rex is designed for situations of war and combatants can help by providing logistical support. Designed and developed by Israel-based company called Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI), Rex can operate up to 72 hours in the mission.
8. WR-07 - A Real Transformer
A real transformation robot is now a reality. Soft Hemji Japan has created the world's first transformer that can transform themselves from robot to car. Transformers like this has great potential to provide multiple services in one platform.
9. Robot Chair
According www.roboticchair.com, Robotic Chair is a generic-looking wooden chair with the ability to fall apart and put himself back. With a trembling motion, the chair collapsed to the floor and then with perseverance and determination, the results to find the parts and the erection itself.
The chair is the creation of Max Dean, who wants to make robots with social commentary mimic rose, fell and the union of individuals and society. However, no matter how impressive the creation of this may seem, these seats have not found a utilitarian value.
10. A-Pod
From the creator of hexapods, came the famous A-Pod. This is a six-legged robot that can perform various tricks such as rope climbing, swinging from a tree, poured a glass of water and picking up objects, among others. A-Pod has the stomach with 2 DOF (Degree of Freedom), 3 DOF head with large jaws and finally, 6 legs with 3 DOF each.
A-Pod was the creation of Zenta, who is no stranger when it comes to Hexapods and robots in general.
