Acer has announced that it will be selling it’s 7″ and 10″ Android 3.0 (HoneyComb) tablets in Q2 of 2011. Both tablets will boast a Tegra 2 processor, plus 5 Mp rear camera, 2 MP front camera, HDMI output, and full size USB port. Each tablet will come with a smooth silver aluminum casing , and will not come with any physical buttons. The A100 has a 7″ screen with a 1024×600 resolution; and, the A500 has a 10″ screen with a 1280×768 resolution.
Unfortunately at this time no information has been released about it’s price, nor the actual release date. We expect this to be released as a WIFI and possibly a subsidized 3G/4G version. If history has proved correct, most likely the 3G/4G tablet version(s) will be released first. Then a month later the WIFI only version will be released.
This is a pretty nice tablet and if they can release it around the $300 – $400 range, would you buy one?
